#Project14Lists Day 2: Favorite Blog Posts of 2018!

10:55:00 AM

Hi hello and welcome to day two of #Project14Lists! Today, I'll be talking about some of my favorite blog posts of 2018. Yesterday, I was able to wrap up all of the posts that I've made (so far) in 2018 and it made me want to talk about some of my favorite posts that I wrote this year. From reviews to blog tours to tag posts, I have a fairly wide variety to talk about and I'm excited to share my favorites. These are in no particular order, but are probably ordered from early 2018 to now. Let's get started!

This is a wrap-up of my 10 favorite books from last year! It was so much fun to put together a list of my 10 favorites, although it was also difficult to narrow it down because I read a whopping 97 books in 2017. But going back and seeing this post again made me super excited to talk about my top ten (or maybe I'll narrow it down to five) books I read in 2018!

2. Book Review: Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh
This was my second read of the year and was also my second five-star rated book of 2018! I can't put into words how much I love this book and how much fun I had reading and writing the review. This is easily one of my favorite books of the year and of all time and I'm so excited to share my thoughts on the sequel, Song of the Dead!

So, this might be a weird one to put on this list but it's for a pretty good reason (at least, I think so). This book got SO MUCH hype for quite a while and I'm not gonna lie, I went with the hype. I had read the short story whenever it came out forever ago and I was really excited to hear that it was becoming a full book because I actually enjoyed the short story! And then I read the full book. Well, okay, I read half of the book because I just...couldn't keep going. This review was about a book that I did not finish and I was hesitant to post it because everyone was raving about how much they loved it and I was honestly worried that I would be attacked for having a different (and probably negative) opinion than everyone else had. But I took the plunge and posted it and didn't seem to get any hate about it, so that's a good thing! I was really proud of myself for posting a review that was so drastically different from the majority of the reviews out there and it made me more confident to post reviews like this more often in the future.

This was a very exciting post for me because I was invited by Penguin Teen to take part in this blog tour and did a super fun Instagram post relating to The Merciless IV! I felt like a super fancy blogger when I was asked to take part in this and it really boosted my confidence level as a book blogger this year. But I just loved putting together my review and my Instagram post relating to this book and it's one that I will always remember!

This is a more simple post but it's one that started my two-week posting streak in October and that just amazes me. I've never been super consistent with posting and it really just depends on how I'm feeling from day to day if or when I post something new. But in October, I wanted to try and do Blogtober and was successful! Well, for 14 days, at least. But it was still a big deal to me and really motivated me to do Blogmas this month! Which I failed at. Oops.

This was such a fun post to put together! Maggie is a character from one of my favorite trilogies, The Chronicle of the Three by Tabitha Caplinger. Let me rephrase that, Maggie is my favorite character from that series! I loved getting to share some things about her and some funny photos and thoughts about the character from the author herself. If you haven't read the series yet, it's one I highly recommend you pick up!

Another post where I got to work with Penguin Teen! This time, it surrounded Halloween and I got to create a fun post involving candy, costumes, and peculiar children. Another one that I won't forget having the opportunity to work on!

And my last favorite post of 2018 is, surprise surprise, a post all about book covers! I love getting to talk about books I love and also the book covers so this was a post that I just blabbed on and on about all of the covers and how beautiful they are. I also talk way too much about The Cruel Prince and Vicious/Vengeful as if I don't already talk about those books enough.

And that's it for day two of #Project14Lists! I really enjoyed getting to list some of my favorite posts from this year and going back and reading them. I have so many fun memories attached to each of these posts and I hope that you get a chance to check out one or two of them! Let me know some of your favorite blog posts that you made this year because I would love to check them out. Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for another day of #Project14Lists!
