I never thought that I would be unable to form a coherent sentence after finishing a book, but Rhodi's Lullaby has done just that. I have been laughing, screaming, crying, cheering, and hiding-but-still-reading-through-my-fingers throughout the last few chapters of this epic tale and I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that it's over. Follow along as I try to piece together all of the feelings I am feeling and write a review on the best ending to a trilogy I've ever read.

It's hard to know where to begin, but I suppose I can start with my favorite topic: Dylan. Boy oh boy does Dylan absolutely shine in this book. Not only does she grow as a Rhodi, but she also grows as a person. Throughout the entire book, she struggles with the threat of Rachel taking over all of Crescentia, and because of April Mae's prophecy, feels like the fate of Crescentia has fallen on her shoulders. Not only that, but she has to deal with her feelings (or not feelings, as she tries to tell herself all book long) for Enfys. As the book progresses, you discover that Dylan has still been self harming, but thankfully not as frequently. More towards the end of the book, she finally makes the decision to give up self harming for good, and I must admit that I teared up quite hard. Dylan has been through so much through these three books, and her decision was certainly not an easy one. I was so proud when she was able to rise above the need to hurt herself and chose to never do it again! By the end, I was in tears with how proud I was of Dylan and her journey, and the ending left my imagination running wild about what happens in her future.

Also, I absolutely adored the relationship that she develops with Saffron. I did not expect them to ever be anything but enemies, but Saffron easily became my second favorite character once she came around. I loved that when it came down to it, Dylan couldn't leave Saffron behind, and her compassion helped Saffron become a better person and even though she's still crazy, it's just no longer directed at Dylan. Her dedication to Dylan and keeping her safe just tugged at my heart and I could not resist loving her!

There were so many moments in this book that I will never forget. Most of them have to do with Dylan and Talidin, but who can say they're really surprised, right? My absolute favorite has to do with Talidin attempting to give "the talk" to Dylan and it goes from Talidin trying to be a good father to an incredibly awkward moment. I was laughing so hard there were tears streaming down my face! I really enjoyed watching Talidin try to be a good father and have it backfire and turn into an awkward father/daughter moment between the two of them! I also loved each and every moment that Dylan and Enfys had together, good and bad, and was so happy with how their relationship ended.

As with the other two books, Rhodi's Lullaby had a plot that kept me reading until the very end and even going back and re-reading some parts. The group finally decides to take a stand and try and defeat Rachel once and for all. With the help of Saffron and her ability to remove veils, they discover the letter that Odon had been trying to decipher was actually a map. As they make their way through the desert to the destination marked on the map, they discover the city of Rhodi-An. Talidin and Tavana are shocked to learn that the city they had thought was destroyed years ago is actually thriving and filled with Rhodi. But all is not perfect, despite what they have been shown. The king of Rhodi-An, Oruchan, is allowing Rachel to take over Crescentia and refuses to lend aid to the small but mighty group of Rhodi willing to fight back. The final battle that takes place in the city is one of epic proportions, and it had me yelling in shock and crying for those that are lost. Not only is there an incredible final battle, but there is also a huge plot twist involving certain characters and let me just say, this twist does not disappoint. I was screaming when I read it and was in shock for the rest of the book! Well done, Megan Linski, well done!

This was the longest book out of the trilogy at 314 pages and I was so happy to be able to have that much content to read, as this was the last book and there was so much that had to be resolved. The book actually spans quite a long time, and there is so much that happens and every single bit is wrapped up by the end. The writing in Rhodi's Lullaby was by far the most beautiful, and I can safely say that this was my favorite book in the trilogy. There was so much to this final story, and none of it was just glossed over like it didn't matter. With every page, I was amazed at how beautiful the story was becoming. There is so much detail written in every scene, and it's so easy to lose yourself in the world of the Rhodi and really feel like you're there, fighting alongside the twins or flying in the air with Saffron. I could feel the emotion, love, and dedication that was put into this final book, and it all wrapped up into one perfect conclusion.

Through the last handful of chapters, I was on the edge of my seat and did not want to stop reading. The big battle at Rhodi-An was one that I thought I was prepared for, but the author made absolute sure to remind me that at any moment, something crazy could happen. There were several moments where I was crying, some where I was literally screaming "WHAT WHAT NO NO NO" and some where I was so overjoyed I was bouncing up and down in my seat. I haven't encountered a book, let alone a series, where I was so emotionally involved that I was visibly showing emotions as I read. I have become so invested in this world and these characters that I just was not prepared for the things that happened, and I am certainly not ready to let them all go just yet. Megan Linski has created a world that is so easy to fall into and find yourself lost in, and it's one that I don't plan on leaving any time soon!

As I stated before, Rhodi's Lullaby is my favorite book in the series, hands down. The story line of all of the characters that we have come to love is wrapped up and tied with a neat bow, and it really allows your imagination to run wild with all of the possibilities. With everything that happens (and there is SO MUCH that happens) the ending leaves you feeling happy and very satisfied. There are happy moments, and plenty of sad moments, but all in all, Rhodi's Lullaby is the perfect ending to an epic trilogy that is sure to leave a lasting impression. Be sure to pick it up, along with the other two books in the series, on 04 September 2016!

Before I get started with my review, I'd like to take the time to thank the author, Megan Linski, for not only tackling the sensitive subject of self harming, but for also including a warning at the beginning of the book in case there are readers who are potentially sensitive to the subject matter. It's an issue I don't find often, and while it was incredibly hard for me to read personally, the way the issue was handled by other characters made me incredibly happy. So, thank you Megan Linski, for handling the issue so well.

Rhodi's Light is the beginning to a wonderful YA dystopian/fantasy trilogy that follows twin siblings Dylan and Devin on their journey to becoming Rhodi warriors. After losing their parents in a car accident, Dylan and Devin are left homeless, fending for themselves on the streets. One day, they encounter a pair of Rhodi warriors, and are soon taken in to become trainees in the Rhodi arts. As Dylan and Devin dive deeper into the world of Rhodi, forces that work to destroy Crescentia grow stronger and threaten to tear apart everything that the twins have come to love.

This book was amazing. It was really, really fast paced, had some really lovable characters, and a plot line to die for! It was so much fun to read and I really flew through it faster than I wanted to. By the end of the book, I wasn't ready for it to end and was dying to get my hands on the sequel! I was afraid that because of how fast paced it was, and how the information was sort of presented in a "this happened, and then this, and now let's jump three months" would really bother me, but it actually just made for an easy read. I'm not complaining about the format in any way, it was just presented in a different way than I'm used to, and I wasn't sure how I would feel about it!

The character I related most to and who was definitely my favorite was Dylan. She was going through so much, from trying to deal with the death of her parents to having to take care of her brother, but by the end of the book, she was such a strong character and I really felt my heart tearing apart for her. Dylan dealt with the issue of self harming, and as I stated above, I really feel like the author wrote about this issue very well and had the characters in the book react in a way that I was not expecting but was very pleased with. I was especially happy when Dylan made the decision that she no longer wanted to do it, and was willing to work hard towards recovery.

While Dylan was my favorite character, I found myself falling in love with Devin, Talidan, and Tavana as well. I really liked that the younger twins ended up having the older twins as their mentors. I think it was easier for me to love all four of them more as the book was in third person omniscient and I got to follow them all throughout the book and really get to know them individually. Talidan is easily my second favorite and I really love the relationship that develops between him and Dylan!

A concept that was really unique to this book was the Crafts that Rhodi warriors had. It was something that really caught my interest and kept me reading until I got to see more about it. Basically, every Rhodi warrior has a Craft inside them, and once it's unlocked, they can do things like run really fast, fly, and even see the future. It wasn't addressed until really late in the book, but it was such a cool reveal when the twins finally discovered their individual Crafts! I won't spoil anything, but Dylan's Craft made my jaw drop!

One thing I can say for sure is I love Megan Linski's writing. She is so descriptive and has such a beautiful way of bringing her story to life. From the very beginning of the book, I was attached to the twins and really wanted to follow their story to see what would happen. I was easily able to fall into their world and wanted to learn more about how it became the way it did. The dystopian genre is my favorite to read about, and the world of Rhodi's Light really differed from any book I've read. There were so many beautiful names for the countries and I am super excited to hopefully be able to learn more about Crescentia in the next two books!

All in all, Rhodi's Light is a wonderful beginning to a trilogy that is sure to become one of my absolute favorites. It has beautiful writing that will draw you in and keep you on the edge of your seat, characters you can easily fall in love with, and a plot that is unlike any other you will discover in a YA trilogy. If you're looking for a fantastic new dystopian/fantasy YA book, then pick up Rhodi's Light on 04 September 2016 and get ready to become a Rhodi for life!

It's The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer! I love the description of the first book, Cinder, and I can tell just by the first book description that I would love the other two titles! Here is a little preview of Cinder!
