Hi hello and welcome to WWW Wednesday! This was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. This is a really fun and easy weekly post where you answer the three W’s:  what are you currently reading, what did you recently finish reading, and what do you think you’ll read next? Let’s get started!

What are you currently reading?

I've finally picked up Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward! I'm only a few pages in and I already love it. Sundial is one of my all-time favorite books and I just know that anything else that I read by Catriona Ward is going to be amazing.

What did you recently finish reading?

The Trees Grew Because I Bled There by Eric LaRocca. I heard such good things about this and while it wasn't a five star read for me, I did enjoy reading it. I wasn't aware that cancer would be a theme or mentioned throughout the book so that caught me off guard. My favorite stories were The Strange Thing We Become, The Trees Grew Because I Bled There, and You're Not Supposed To Be Here! Overall, this was a three star read for me and that's a success in my eyes. Not every book needs to be the best thing you've ever read, some are just middle of the road decent reads and that's what this book was for me. I do still love Erica LaRocca and will absolutely continue to read their books.

What do you think you'll read next?
Lavender House by Lev A.C. Rosen has been on my TBR for a bit and the more I look at it, the more I want to pick it up. I mean, just look at that cover! Plus, it's described as Knives Out with a queer historical twist and if that didn't hit every buzz word for me, I don't know what will.

I recently got offered an eARC of Immortal Longings by Chloe Gong by the publisher and I am so excited to read this, oh my goodness. I haven't read any of Chloe's previous books not because I don't want to read her books, I'm just reading less YA these days. But this is her Adult debut and it's described as "inspired by Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra, is a fiery collision of power plays, spilled blood, and romance amidst a set of deadly games" and that sounds so cool.

Last on my possible next to read list is an eARC I have of Court of the Undying Seasons by A.M. Strickland. I know I literally just said I'm not reading YA as much these days but hear me out on this one. It's a queer vampire fantasy story. How could you not want to read this one!? Plus that cover is stunning and I'm definitely a sucker for a good cover. Get it? Sucker? And it's a vampire story? I swear I'm funny.

And that's it for this WWW Wednesday post! I've been away for a bit dealing with life and such but I'm really happy to be posting again. How is your reading going this week? Have you picked up anything new? Are any of the books I mentioned today on your TBR? Which book should I pick up next? I'd love to know so be sure to leave me a comment below and we can chat! Don't forget to visit Taking On a World of Words and see Sam's post for the week, and maybe check out some others awesome weekly posts from the comments! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you in the next chapter!
