My Dream Crate from Loot Crate!

by - 2:01:00 AM

Hi hello and welcome to a very exciting special post! I was contacted by Loot Crate recently (yes, the Loot Crate) about putting together my "dream crate." Basically, they wanted to know if I were to create my very own Loot Crate, what items would I want to see included? This was such a fun idea and I had so much fun searching for items that I would want to see in my Dream Crate! Before we get started, let me tell you a little bit about Loot Crate for those that may not know about this awesome company.

Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box that offers a wide variety of items in several themed boxes. From the normal Loot Crate which includes 4-6 geeky items from various fandoms (such as Marvel and DC) to the Loot Gaming which includes 4-6 items that focus specifically on video games (World of Warcraft, Zelda, Overwatch, etc.), there's a box for everyone! They even have a Loot Pets box that includes some seriously cute geeky gear for your furry friend! If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, go check out their website and take a look at their different boxes. Interested in creating your own Dream Crate? Keep reading!

Have you ever dreamt about what you would do if you could put together your own subscription crate theme? Well, Loot Crate is looking for fans like you! They want to know what fans would do if they could design the crate theme of their dreams. It's simple: just think of a theme and what 4-6 items you would put in the box and make a post about it! This is open to anyone and everyone so get creative and get posting!

Now, let's get down to business. Obviously, because I am a book blog, my theme had to be Bookish Beauties. As an avid reader (and someone who stares longingly at book subscription boxes and watches unboxing videos daily but never gets one), my box is filled with things that I would love to have to enhance my reading experience! Every item will include a link to the website where I found them in case you're interested in picking up something mentioned here.

Book tote: Tote bags can come in serious handy if you decide to go on a book buying binge, pick up a lot of library books, or just want to carry your books with you on your next outing! It's never a bad idea to bring a book with you wherever you go, right? Some of my favorite bookish themed totes come from Evie Seo on Society6. She has some really beautiful designs and I could easily spend a fortune at her store.

Bookmarks: What reader doesn't need bookmarks? As someone who cries at the thought of bending the corner of a page, bookmarks are a must for me. Why not get some super cute magnetic character bookmarks to complete your reading experience? I chose the Heartless themed ones because I just finished that book and it's taken over my life. Or, if those aren't your thing, some simple watercolor bookmarks are also a great pickup! These Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas watercolor bookmarks are beautiful and definitely inspire me to finally pick up the series. Never lose your place again!

Bookish mug: Books and tea. What better combination is there, really? With a cute bookish mug in one hand and a book in the other, you're sure to get through that giant TBR pile in no time! Once again, Evie Seo has some beautiful mugs that are sure to complete your books and tea combination. This "Readers Gonna Read" mug is a cute but simple design that any reader is sure to appreciate.

Bookish themed candles: Picture a warmly lit room, you in a cozy reading nook, your favorite book in hand, and a candle that is inspired by said book. How perfect is that? To have a candle that will transport you between the pages of your favorite book sounds like a wonderful treat, and these candles from The Melting Library are a perfect pick up! Of course, I chose the Queen of Tarts one because it's Heartless themed and I said above, that book has taken over my life. There are tons of options when it comes to bookish themed candles and I would love to get one in my Dream Crate!

Bookish t-shirt: Loot Crate always includes a geeky themed t-shirt in their boxes, so why not include a bookish themed t-shirt in my Dream Crate? Having a shirt to wear that shows my love for books sounds like a pretty great plan because really, who doesn't love a new shirt? It's probably no surprise that I've chosen yet another Evie Seo design, this one inspired by A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I can't get enough of Evie and her designs so if you're a book lover, then check out her shop!
Get the ACOMAF shirt here!

Funko Pop: Another item that shows up a lot in Loot Crate boxes is Funko Pops! What better Funko Pop to include in my Bookish Beauties box than Belle? She's a fellow book lover and I'm sure she would love all of the bookish items that I've included in my Dream Crate!
Get the Belle Funko Pop here!

This was so much fun to put together and I just want to thank Carly from Loot Crate for reaching out to me about creating my very own Dream Crate. Please be sure to check out all of the fun bookish items that I included in my box and also check out Loot Crate for a variety of super fun geeky monthly subscription boxes. Don't forget to put together your own Dream Crate and feel free to share it in the comments below! See you next time!

Just as a side note, I have not been sponsored by Loot Crate, Evie Seo, The Melting Library,  Happy Hello Art, behindthepages, or Funko. I just really like all of these companies/shops and wanted to share them all with my fellow book lovers!
